Why homework doesn't get done at home

Children forget their passwords, parents are wary of handing over a tablet with everything else on it, and YouTube is one tap away. So homework often only happens when a parent can sit with their child the whole time.

What's included

Every family at your school

The licence covers every family with a primary-age child at your school, rather than charging per family.

Use in class too

Use it on class tablets as much as you like. Each pupil picks their own profile, so a shared tablet opens their homework rather than someone else's.

Only the services you choose

Children can only open the homework services your school chooses. They can't browse the web, and there are no adverts or AI tools.

Fewer lost passwords

Parents enter each homework login once. The app keeps it on their device, never sends it to us, and signs their child in from then on.

Nothing for IT to manage

Parents install the app on their own phones and tablets. There are no devices for your IT team to enrol or manage.

No pupil records

Children never create accounts, so your school has no pupil data to send us.

How it works

We set up your logins

We create the LockyLearn logins for your families and send them to you. There is nothing for your school to set up.

You share them with parents

Share them however you like. Most schools send them out with the logins for their other homework services, so it adds no extra work. We give you a short note to go with them.

Children get straight to the work

The parent installs the app, signs in and adds their child. From then on the app opens the homework services you have chosen, signs the child in, and keeps everything else on the device out of reach.

Safeguarding and data protection

How we handle children's data

We hold no pupil records. Homework logins are stored on the family's own device and are never sent to us.
The account belongs to a parent. Children do not create accounts and are never asked for contact details.
No advertising and no profiling. We don't build profiles of children or track them across other services.
Built to follow the ICO Children's Code (the Age Appropriate Design Code), which asks services that children are likely to use to put the child's interests first.
A UK company, registered with the ICO. Lockshield Learning Ltd is registered in England and Wales (company 16682264) and with the Information Commissioner's Office (ZC053181). Account data is stored in the EEA.
